Privacy Policy
Finnsight Marketing
Effective date: October 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Finnsight Marketing ("Finnsight Marketing," "we," "us" or "our") collects through finnsightmarketing.com (the "site"), how we use it, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have.
This policy covers the site only. If you become a client, your written client agreement explains how we handle the information you share with us for client work.
1. What we collect and why
Information you send us through the contact form. When you request a proposal, we collect:
- your name
- your email address
- your business website or Google listing link
- your main goal, chosen from a short list
- anything in the optional note, including your free marketing check results if you choose to send them
We use this to read your request, look at your website or listing, reply to you, and send you a proposal with the package we suggest and its pricing. Please do not put passwords, payment card numbers, health details or other sensitive information in the note.
Our free marketing check and ROI calculator. Both tools work out your result in your browser. We don't receive your answers or numbers while you use them. If you use our free marketing check and then ask for a proposal, we fill in the form's note with your check results (your score and your answers) so you don't have to type them again. You can change or delete that text before you send the form, and we receive it only if you send it.
Site speed test. If you choose to test your website's speed, your browser sends the website address you enter to Google's PageSpeed Insights service, which loads that site and sends the results back to your browser. Google receives that address and the usual connection details from your browser, such as your IP address, and Google's own privacy policy applies to that request. We don't receive or keep the address unless you include it in a proposal request.
Information you share with us by email. If you email us or write back to our reply, we keep what you tell us so we can answer your questions and prepare or update your proposal.
Basic technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical details when a page is requested, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. This is used to deliver pages, keep the site running and protect it from abuse. We do not use it to build a profile of you.
We do not ask for your phone number, home address, date of birth or payment details on the site.
2. Who helps us handle your information
We use a small number of service providers to run the site and answer you. They handle your information for us, to provide their service.
- Website hosting and form handling: Netlify. Netlify hosts the site and receives contact form submissions for us.
- Spam filtering: Akismet. Netlify checks form submissions with Akismet, a spam filtering service, so that junk submissions are kept out of our inbox.
- Email. We use an email service to receive form notices and to write back to you.
- Site speed testing: Google PageSpeed Insights. Tests the website address you enter and returns the results to your browser.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy. We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business, in which case this policy will continue to apply to the information.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for cross-context behavioral advertising (ads based on your activity across other websites).
3. Cookies and analytics
The site does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking tags. Our fonts are stored on our own site, so loading a page does not send your information to a font provider.
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Because the site sets none, doing so will not affect how it works.
4. Do Not Track and tracking by other companies
Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. We do not track visitors over time or across other websites, so there is nothing for the signal to switch off, and the site works the same whether or not your browser sends it.
We do not allow other companies to collect information about your online activity over time and across different websites through our site. If you leave our site through a link, the other site's own policies apply.
If you choose to run the speed test in our free marketing check, your browser sends the website address you typed to Google's PageSpeed Insights service, and Google receives the usual connection details from your browser, such as your IP address. This happens only when you press the button, as a single request, and Google's own privacy policy applies to it.
5. Email from us
We email you to answer your request, send your proposal and follow up on it. We do not add you to a newsletter or mailing list because you sent the form. Any email we send to promote our services will tell you how to opt out of future ones, and we will honor your request.
We do not send marketing text messages.
6. How long we keep information
- Form submissions and related emails: we keep them for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client. Client records are kept as your client agreement says.
- Technical records kept by our hosting provider: for the short period set by that provider.
We may keep information longer if the law requires it or to resolve a dispute.
7. How we protect information
The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. We limit access to form submissions and email to the people who need them to answer you, and we use the security tools our providers offer. No website or email system is completely secure, so we cannot promise that information will never be accessed without permission.
8. Children
The site is for business owners and the people who work with them. It is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
9. Your choices and requests
You can email us at hello@finnsightmarketing.com to:
- ask what information we have about you
- ask us to correct it
- ask us to delete it
- ask us to stop contacting you
We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We aim to reply within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top. If we make a material change to how we use your information, we will also put a short notice on the site's home page for at least 30 days.
